Do Cats Have Ethics?
Do cats have ethics?
Really the answer
would seem to be ‘no’.
But this might be an
arrogant human
assumption, for cats,
(obviously) do
not live by human
ethics. Is there a
cats’ ethical code?
Are there things that are
‘not done’ by cats? And,
if so, what are they?
They quite happily kill
and steal
and fornicate
and pee in people’s porches –
which humans hardly ever do.
How liberating
never to worry
about principles,
“doing the right thing”,
moral dilemmas.
To be a-moral
(by human standards).
Unshackled and free.
