A Septic Tank Addresses ACUF
Am I not as sweet smelling,
as richly filled, as complex
as anyone you have known?
Yet you recoil as you peer into me,
scan my delicate foam,
and when your lungs fill with my breath.
All that I am you have seen before,
had before but you are hesitant,
view me with the science of your mind.
You want to banish not devour me.
Want to rid me of who I am
as you do the grease trap
now full of glistening plates.
A torrent rages through us
full of broken hearts from room and kitchen,
everything that’s been taken and discarded.
Not satisfied with what you’ll strip away
you want to reduce me to gas and water,
with no feeling, substance or divine fragrance.

ACUF was surveying a major Hotel in Dubai before recommending the use of bacteria to clean up the system when the septic tank addressed him.
