Oil-absorbent pillows for use in interceptors and drainage culverts

BioChela Pillows are made of oil-attracting fibres that use biotechnology to break down absorbed oil to carbon dioxide and water.

When placed in interceptors and drainage culverts will absorb oil from oily water as well as oil from the occasional spillage. When wet, bacteria are activated so that they break down oil, diesel and similar contaminants. They will last between a few weeks and a few months, depending upon the degree of contamination.
